Thank you!!

Thank you so much to everyone who voted!  Three Hens and a Peacock has been named the 2012 Children's Choice Book of the Year for grades K-2!

We are so thrilled at this honor!  To celebrate, how about a giveaway? (How did you know I would say that?)

Leave a message here with your email address and what you love most about this fantastic book or its author Lester Laminack or illustrator Henry Cole (or what you love most about all three!) and I'll pick some winners at the end of the week!

You can also send them to us on Twitter @PeachtreePub.

Thanks again, so much, to everyone who has supported this book and the Children's Choice Book Awards!

  1. Yay! We love Henry Cole's illustrations at our library and this has been a fun storytime read - so funny and the kids really love the crazy chickens' expressions and the befuddled peacock. The parents get a kick out of it too!

  2. Those hens make me feel sheepish remembering how I thought being a stay-at-home-mom would be a piece of cake before I was a stay-at-home-mom.

  3. Yay giveaway! What do I love best about the book? The fact that my son and I haven't had the pleasure of reading it yet-- but we can't wait to! blueberrybookclub@blueberrybookclub.com

  5. GOOD picture books are so hard to find. Not only is the story good, but the illustrations (especially the peacock) are fun. This book will definitely find its way to my blog! djslws@hotmail.com

  8. Not having had the opportunity to look inside the book and judging a book by its cover, I'd say that the Title and cover art convey to me 3 envious, ordinary, gossiping hens who are envious of the beauty and majesty of the Peacock. I'd love to win this book.
