It’s beginning to look a lot like--wait…what?

The Peachtree Publishers Fall 2011 preview!

It’s June, so you know what that means: Fall!

Okay, maybe not quite yet, but in Book Land we’re always working a season ahead of schedule. This can get confusing. Case in point: Yesterday I turned on the radio and wondered why nobody was playing Christmas music. Thankfully, I recovered from my time-continuum mishap pretty quickly and laughed off my befuddledness before any permanent damage was done (In Book Land we also make up lots of words).

I’m delighted to give you all a little sneak peak at our Fall 2011 frontlist titles! We’ve got some really exciting things planned. Above is a photo of our picture books, fresh from the printer and delivered to the floor of my office. This is just the beginning--tune in next week for our chapter book preview (hint: some of these are already on NetGalley)!

In the spirit of seasonal confusion, leave a comment here or send a message on Twitter to @PeachtreePub and tell me what you’re most looking forward to this fall/winter for your chance to win a set of these picture books! I'll pick a winner at random on Friday, June 10! Fa la la la laaa--Oh, darn it.

  1. It is so difficult to think about fall and winter so soon. I think the thing that I'm looking forward to most is seeing everything through my little monkey's eyes. He is so full of wonder and joy that you can't help but experience it too.

  2. Think fall/winter and think dropping temperatures? Not for me! At least not in November when we take our wee reader back home to Singapore to meet his aunts and other relatives for the first time. I'm most looking forward to having him meet his great-grandparents.

  3. Is it weird that I am ready for school to start back? I homeschool my kids and I just went to the NC Home school conference. It was so encouraging and I got so much great information. I don't want to sit on it all summer! I might just have to have some informal fun lessons over the summer! BooksDevoured at gmail.com

  4. Well, since it's so hot here already, I'm looking forward to some relief from the heat as well as fun for the holidays with a little one in the house. We are adopting, so this Fall/Winter season will be different than the past.
